Arson is now blamed in a big Albany fire from last May, said prosecutors in the case.

Four buildings and three cars were damaged.

Allexus Pecoraro, 21, from Madison County is accused of acting with depraved indifference to human life, because there were people inside 489 Hudson Avenue when he allegedly started a fire on the porch.

An eight-count indictment accuses Pecoraro of intentionally starting the fire, which also damaged 485 and 487 Hudson Avenue, 246 Ontario and three cars.

He posted bail and was ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device.
