Manager of Shenanigans Gentlemen’s Club accused of selling meth

Colonie strip club under investigation

Shenanigan's general manager, Luiggi Canessa, has been arrested for allegedly selling methamphetamine to an undercover officer in February at his residence, which is less than 300 feet from Shenanigans, according to the federal criminal complaint.

The general manager of Shenanigans Gentlemen’s Club, Luiggi Canessa, has been arrested.

He sold meth to an undercover officer in February at his home, less than 300 feet from the Colonie business, investigators said.

As NewsChannel 13 reported earlier this week, there had been a large police presence at the club.

The FBI has been investigating allegations of drug trafficking, sex trafficking and wire fraud at the Colonie business since late 2023, court documents said.

Canessa, who is also the general manager of Sheer Pleasure Lingerie next door, admitted to investigators that he distributed meth, cocaine, marijuana and MDMA from his residence, prosecutors said.

Canessa so far has been charged with one count of distribution of a controlled substance.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday afternoon in U.S. District Court in Albany.
