Saturday, May 4 is Wildfire Community Preparedness Day.

Massachusetts fire service leaders are encouraging people to protect their homes and neighborhoods.

Leading up to Wildfire Community Preparedness Day, Massachusetts officials encourage people to reduce flammable fuels from the area surrounding your home.

They encourage people to remove dead vegetation, mulch, firewood and low branches.
