Massachusetts lawmakers in line for pay raises
Leaders in Massachusetts are in line for substantial pay raises this new year, with lawmakers likely taking in 20 percent more than in 2022.
Massachusetts state lawmakers are also set to receive their fourth pay raise since 2017, one worth more than four percent.
That would bump the base pay for elected lawmakers from more than $70,000 to close to $74,000.
Any lawmaker can choose to turn down the pay increase.
