Menands business celebrating 75 years with big community donation
A Menands business is celebrating its 75th anniversary by giving back.
Woman-owned Kasselman Electric, the Capital Region’s leading commercial electrical contractor, marked the occasion by donating $7,500 to Vanderheyden, which provides services to youth and adults.
The family said it’s about more than just the business, but also the community of Albany County.
“Being supported by this community for 75 years, it’s very important to give back,” said Becky Kasselman, with Kasselman Electric. “We help each other. We support each other, and for me especially, I’ve got children and grandchildren, and we expect to be in this community for 75 more years, at minimum.”
Kasselman Electric was also entered into the New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry.
