Menands Police investigate stabbing at gas station

Menands Police are investigating an incident in which a 38-year-old man was stabbed in the hand at a Citgo gas station.

It happened around 8:15 Monday evening, but police just released information on Thursday.

Officers responded to the location, which is also a 20/20 Market, for a report of an assault. Officers found no victim or suspect at the store. After an investigation, officers found the victim at Memorial Hospital. His condition was serious but stable.

Police believe this was an isolated incident. However, the victim and suspect did not know each other, police said.
