A report of a person with a shotgun at Aviation Mall in Queensbury Monday morning sent about a dozen police officers racing to the scene.
Mall security found a loaded shotgun shell in the parking lot and asked the mall dispatcher to call police, but somehow that message got twisted in translation and the call went to 911 as a potential shooter with a shotgun, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Police scrambled, only to find that it was a shotgun shell, not a shooter.
