Mold problem creeps into North Adams school just before classes

An elementary school in North Adams is dealing with a mildew problem, but classes are still on for Thursday, school leaders told NewsChannel 13’s news partners at The Berkshire Eagle.

Brayton Elementary is doing what they can to move other things around to find space.

The mildew is covering equipment and is in multiple rooms.

The district is doing everything it can to make those rooms accessible, the superintendent said.

A vote to build a new school is set for a special election next month.
