Monday key deadline for absentee ballot requests for primary

Voters hoping to cast their ballots away from designated polling sites must request to vote by absentee ballot by Monday, Aug. 8.

The primaries for Congress and State Senate are Tuesday, Aug. 23.

Early voting begins Saturday.
