Motherless bear cubs rescued in Pawling

Two motherless bear cubs were recently rescued in Dutchess County.
The cubs were found March 31 off railroad tracks in Pawling, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation said.
An Environmental Control Officer was called in. He got the cubs under control, wrapped them in a hooded sweatshirt and gave them to wildlife rehabilitators.
They are expected to recover.
