Albany Police have arrested a man for allegedly killing someone on Sunday who lived with him.

Ashley Heshmat, 44, of Albany is now charged with second-degree murder in the death of Justin Bishop.

Bishop, 48, was found dead Sunday in a home on Rose Court. Police said Heshmat and Bishop resided with one another.

Police discovered Bishop’s body during a welfare check. He had several cuts to his head and neck, police said.

Heshman was sent to Albany County Jail.
