A local mosque held an event this weekend to remember the victims of 9/11 and honor the survivors.

There was a blood drive as part of the nationwide “Muslims for Life” campaign.

The mission of this annual blood drive is to unite people of all faiths by saving lives through giving blood.

The campaign was launched by the community in 2011.

Right now, it is a critical time for blood donations.

Since July 1, the Red Cross has seen more than a 25% decline in the national blood supply.
