Thousands of National Grid employees came out Friday afternoon to serve their communities. Volunteers spent the day cleaning up communities in their service areas.

They helped clean up the Oakwood Avenue Park entrance in Troy, and helped build a new walking trail in Queensbury.

Volunteers also worked with students from local programs to explore careers with National Grid.

Other projects helped support the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, Catholic Charities, The Schenectady Community Action Program, Patroon Land Farm, Habitat for Humanity, Bring on the Spectrum and others.
