With the storm set to arrive this evening, National Grid has increased their staffing so they can have more crews available to quickly restore power outages.

They’ve also pre-staged crews and materials in areas anticipated to be impacted the most.

The company reminds people to notify them if your power goes out.

With the extra staffing, they can restore power quicker, but they still ask that everyone remains patient as they brave the weather conditions.

“We’re trying to get people out there and you know we don’t know what the elements are going to bring to us,” said Patrick Stella, with National Grid. “So if you do see a lot of ice and things like that, it’s
treacherous for us to get out there as well, so we’re trying to get out there as fast as we can.”

National Grid said their staff go through various drills to prepare them for storms coming our way.
