Neighbor: Monahan was ‘aberration’ to neighborhood

A resident of Patterson Hill Road – where Kaylin Gillis was killed – told NewsChannel 13 she was more concerned about a different type of tragedy occurring in her neighborhood than what happened last Saturday.

That’s when Kevin Monahan allegedly fired a shotgun at a lost car that accidentally ended up on his property, and killed Kaylin Gillis.

The woman – who didn’t want to be identified – said Monahan would often speed up and down their rural road. She was afraid he would kill someone from that.

The woman described Monahan as an “aberration” to the others in the neighborhood, and said that other neighbors felt the same way.
