A new tavern in Albany will take diners back in time.
A ribbon-cutting was held Monday morning at the War Room Tavern.
The historic building at 42 Eagle Street was built in 1890. It was formerly known as Public House 42. It is now an upscale bar, with a cigar lounge next door.
The bar is decorated with rare artifacts and photos of former New York governors who became United States presidents.
The menu also includes offerings that were favorites of presidents, governors and other New York state politicians.
