New Colonie business puts Black entrepreneurship on all-time ‘high’

Kelly Hilland and her son, Michael, have opened Brownie's Cannabis Dispensary in Colonie.

Kelly Hilland is a disabled veteran whose determination has led her to pave the way for a new era of business ownership.

Hilland, along with her family, proudly owns Brownies cannabis dispensary, one of the very few Black-owned cannabis dispensaries in the Capital Region.

With her son Michael’s innovative touch behind the design, the dispensary has a unique look, with a touch of both New York and California flair.

The shop is located at 1686 Central Ave.
