Jim Davis is officially on the job as Saratoga County’s newest county judge.   

Davis was sworn in Friday at a ceremony in Saratoga County Court. He was previously a state deputy inspector general, but won the county judgeship in November to replace his mentor, Judge Jim Murphy.

Murphy will now begin a career at Behan Communications.

Davis spoke Friday about his family’s humble beginnings, and his stints as a lifeguard, a dishwasher, a bartender, a waiter, a camp counselor, and more.
