NEW DEC enacts new restrictions
The DEC is reminding folks that there are multiple laws going into effect before the new year that aim to protect public health and the environment by reducing exposure to harmful chemicals.

Starting Saturday some chemicals will be limited in household cleaning and personal care products, such as cosmetics.
They will also be restricting P-Fas in food packaging materials – especially in paper based food packaging.
And finally, the DEC will be restricting what chemicals can be intentionally added into children’s products, which are defined as things intentionally sold to kids under 12.
