New food council to help feed hungry in Schenectady County

A new initiative was announced in Schenectady County on Thursday to address food insecurity.
The Schenectady Foundation announced the launch of the Schenectady County Food Council.
A variety of community members will identify specific food insecurity issues, then determine solutions.
The goal is to get the community involved in the conversation for the first time, Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara told NewsChannel 13.
