The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office launched its EMS division on Monday.
The new division will feature an ambulance staffed by sheriff’s office employees.
The project came after nearly two and a half years of planning.
It will operate seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The sheriff’s office is still looking for staff to fill out the program, they said.
Officials want to supplement the county’s EMS partners.
