There’s a new place for kids to rock out in Albany.

City and county leaders celebrated the ribbon-cutting of the Albany Rock Pit on Norman Drive this week.

The new music school was built with the goals of team building and community through live performances.

The first live show for The Rock Pit is set for December 2 at “September’s Too” tavern in Colonie.

In addition to playing multiple instruments, kids will also learn how to set up the equipment and perform sound checks.
