Online shopping and deliveries have created unprecedented opportunities for the bad guys to steal from porches. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is taking a new step toward keeping your home or business safe and secure. They’re now visiting people before a crime is committed.

It’s called Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design. According to Warren County Sheriff Jim LaFarr, his office is the only one in the area doing it.

Three officers are trained in it. As the program grows, the sheriff hopes to add more.

The goal is to prevent crime from occurring in the first place.
