Increased toll rates began Monday on the Thruway.

The base E-ZPass rate will increase by 5%. That’s the first change in the cost of E-ZPass since 2010.

Standard toll rates for non-E-ZPass drivers will increase to about 8.5¢ per mile by 2027. That means if you don’t have an E-ZPass – you can expect to pay about 75% more to use the Thruway this year.

The toll rate to go over the Mario Cuomo Bridge will increase by 50¢ each year for the next four years.
