New YMCA officially opens in Albany

The city of Albany once again has a YMCA.
The city cut the ribbon at the new, state-of-the-art facility at 17 New Scotland Avenue.
It’s a convenient spot for bus routes, homes, Washington Park, local employers and more, the county said.
The facility will be open Monday through Saturday.
The old YMCA – in North Albany – closed in 2019 when it was bought by the Albany School District to create a new middle school.
