New York helping to fight Canada wildfires
New York Department of Environmental Conservation is sending help to contain wildfires raging right now in eastern Canada.

A DEC forest ranger and expert wildland firefighter is heading to Nova Scotia.
The DEC says this is the first time a New York State Forest Ranger is being deployed to Canada since wildfires in Quebec, back in 2005.
