The areas of focus are forests in Warren, Columbia, and Washington Counties.

Lake George Land Conservancy was awarded $353,000 to purchase a 47 acre property.

The undeveloped forest is currently owned by the Wiawaka Center for Women.

The scenic Hudson land trust was also given $350,000 to buy a 200 acre property surrounded by the Harvey Mountain state forest.

The space has educational, historic and ecological value.

And the agricultural stewardship association in Washington County received over $290,000. This money will help purchase two hundred and sixty two acres of forest connecting mount tom and chestnut woods.
