New York state seeks two holiday trees

New York state is looking for two holiday trees this year.

The trees will be displayed at the state Capitol.

They will be removed in mid-November at no cost to the property owner, and lit as part of a big tree lighting at the Empire State Plaza in December.

The tree should be spruce, 35 to 55 feet tall, and easy to access.

Anyone who would like to be considered can contact Kevin Ciampi at OGS by emailing Kevin.Ciampi@ogs.ny.gov. Include your name, address where the tree is located, a photo of the tree, and a contact phone number.
