New York State still working on overdue budget
The New York State budget is three weeks late. It’s still unclear if lawmakers are close to reaching a deal.
Before taking the weekend off, lawmakers passed another spending extender to keep the state going until Monday.
The budget was due April 1.
This is the fourth temporary spending measure approved, as lawmakers continue to negotiate key issues, including bail reform changes and housing.
