The Albany Pump Station held a special event for a good cause on Sunday afternoon.
The group “Night Out For You” partnered with the local bar to give adults undergoing cancer treatment a night to forget about their diagnosis.
The group was started by Kate Hockford, a Watervliet native who is currently living with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
She said she just wants to see those going through cancer treatment get a spring back in their step.
Kate started the organization in 2016. This marked their 100th event to help cancer patients get a break from their disease.
