Nine dead animals found in Troy apartment

A Troy man’s neglect caused nine animals to die, police said.

The animals were found in the Hudson Terrace Apartments on Stow Avenue Thursday afternoon, after a neighbor reported a foul smell from a nearby apartment.

The dead animals include three dogs, four cats, a ferret and a bearded dragon.

Another animal was in bad health, but still alive, investigators said. Tyler Valentine, 29, was charged with nine counts of animal cruelty. He’s due in court at a later date
