13Investigates reported Wednesday that a state inspector found a “critical deficiency” at the Aldi on Central Avenue during a full sanitary inspection.

It found 295 pounds of perishable food were mishandled. It was all thrown out.

This inspection was done after a complaint was filed on April 4.

Aldi’s corporate office told 13Investigates they are aware of the inspection and confirm the store took appropriate steps to prepare any impacted products for disposal prior to the inspection.
