Police in North Greenbush said there has been a rise in organized retail theft across the area.

There was a report of a larceny at TJ Maxx on Friday, which led to a brief police chase.

When NewsChannel 13 asked police for more details, they believe it was one of the few organized retail theft rings that have been active in the area. The suspects have not been identified yet.

Police went on to say the larcenies are becoming more and more common.
