There have been a number of emergencies recently with people falling through ice – and a new tool could help firefighters.

The North Queensbury Volunteer Fire Company was out training its marine rescue team on Sunday.

The tool is called the ADK 3 in 1. It’s meant to help both ice fishermen and rescuers.

Volunteers in North Queensbury say this new rescue tool can save lives in minutes with the way it chops ice and can also be used as an anchor or safety line.
