Union members of the Berkshire Visiting Nurses Association have reached a tentative contract with the Massachusetts Nurses Association.
It comes after two years of negotiations and demonstrations. The issue was a wage step, with scheduled increases of salary, which had been opposed by Berkshire Health Systems’ management, NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle reported.
Members of the Berkshire Visiting Nurses Association have been lobbying with the New York State Nurses Association since joining together, two years ago.
A vote to ratify the contract is scheduled for Friday
