NYS Health Department launches flu & covid vaccine campaign

The New York State Department of Health is launching an annual campaign to encourage people to get their flu and covid shots.

State health commissioner Dr. Mary Bassett says with the fall and winter season comes an increase in infections of both.

Both shots can be given at the same time, including the updated covid-19 bivalent booster, which is available for eligible New Yorkers 12 years and older.
