NYSAG proposes cryptocurrency regulations
State Attorney General Letitia James is pushing state lawmakers to adopt what she calls nation-leading regulations governing cryptocurrency.

The protections will protect consumers and the broader economy, James said.
Her bill proposes regulations that would increase transparency, eliminate conflicts of interest, and impose commonsense measures to protect investors.
Rampant fraud and dysfunction have become the hallmarks of cryptocurrency and it is time to bring law and order to the industry, James said.
