One person rescued in Pittsfield house fire
A person is recovering after firefighters were called to a house fire in Pittsfield early Tuesday morning.
Crews responded to the scene around 1:40 a.m. at 11 Congress St., finding heavy fire in the back of the home.
One person was rescued after being found unresponsive inside of a bedroom on the second floor, said Pittsfield Deputy Fire Chief Daniel Garner.
The person was removed though a window and taken to Berkshire Medical Center. There is no word yet on their condition.
