One woman hurt in Albany shooting

A 51-year-old woman was shot in her leg on Saturday, Oct. 27 at around 6:00 p.m.

Albany police officers arrived to First Street and Ontario Street where they found the victim.

The woman was treated on scene by EMS. She was taken to Albany Medical Center where she is in stable condition. 

Police have not released the name of the victim.

No one is in custody.

NewsChannel 13 reached out to Albany Police for comment but have not heard back yet.

In a statement authorities said, “At this time the investigation remains active and ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Albany Police Detective Division.”
