The Amsterdam woman who had a heart attack while driving a bus got to meet the Siena College student who helped save her life.

Yvonne Chambers had been driving a bus for a couple of years. Last May, she had a medical emergency. Thankfully, Prince Asante was on the bus and was able to perform CPR. Two other people also helped during the incident.

Chambers spent 6 months in the hospital. She had to learn how to walk, talk and read all over again. She lost her memory and could not even remember who her daughters were.

Chambers finally got back those memories after 6 months of rehab.

She finally got to meet with Prince in person on Monday.

He said he is impressed with how far she has come. The two will be keeping in touch.

“Yes, he’s family to me now,” she said.

Prince shares that sentiment, saying he would be really glad to join the family.

Prince graduated from Siena last year and is now applying to medical schools.
