Saratoga County is teaming up with SPAC to address the opioid overdose crisis.

The Saratoga County Department of Health has installed boxes on the walls of four restrooms at the performing arts center that contain pre-packaged doses of naloxone.

They’re called “NaloxBoxes.”

Naloxone – which has the brand name Narcan – can reverse an opioid overdose. These boxes make the medication readily available to people attending concerts.

Saratoga County will soon be placing 35 of the boxes in public spaces across the county, they said.
