Road closures and parking restrictions downtown Albany are already in place. resident tells me the good outweighs the parking hassle
No parking signs line the streets right outside the arena but the General Manager of the MVP Arena, Bob Belbar recommends people use the Park-n-Ride option at UAlbany. “Instead of driving around trying to find a place to park on Friday morning, I can’t stress enough, go to the park and ride, take the shuttle. It’s a 20 dollar cost, but if you have five people, four people in the car, it’s still 20 dollars and that’s the best way to go,” he said.
He said there will be some parking available closer to the arena but it will fill up fast and may cost you more.
