Parts of Rensselaer affected by water main break

Some residents in the city of Rensselaer will see low water pressure.

A water main broke at the intersection of Washington Avenue Extension and Exit 8 of I-90.

The areas most affected are both sides of Washington Avenue Extension from Exit 7 to Exit 8, Sterling Ridge, Falcon Chase and Valley View Boulevard.

The mayor advised everyone to conserve water for the time being.

You can also expect traffic delays in the area while crews work on the break. However, the work could take a day or two, said the mayor.
