Pedestrian hit by two cars on Route 32 dead

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash killed a Northumberland man.
The sheriff’s office responded to a call of a traffic crash involving a pedestrian on state Route 32 in the Northumberland at 10:51 p.m. Saturday.
According to the sheriff’s office, 42-year-old Zachary D. Yeager of Northumberland had been walking southbound on Route 32 just north of the hamlet of Gansevoort when he was hit by a 2005 Honda Accord. As a result of the impact, Yeager was propelled into the northbound lane, where deputies say he was struck again by a 2012 Acura TSX driven by Jaralyn F. Muzio Queensbury that had been traveling northbound.
Yeager was pronounced dead on the scene.
Muzio was arrested for DWI, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of 0.08% or greater, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree (unclassified misdemeanors).
The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Collision Reconstruction Unit.
