A man died after being struck and killed by a pickup truck in Berkshire County. 

Niall Nordoff, 41, was walking on Route 7 on Wednesday at around 6 a.m. when he was hit by a pickup truck, police told NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle.

Just before the crash, officers said they got a call about a man wearing dark clothing and walking in the middle of the road.

A second call a short time later said the man had been struck.

Nordoff was a landscape designer, said friends, and was walking to a job interview when the crash happened.

The driver is not facing any charges, police said.
