People to jump into frigid Lake George to raise money for Special Olympics
It is that time of year when perfectly sane people strip down to their bathing suits and go running into the icy cold waters of Lake George. They will be raising money for charity.
Hundreds of perfectly sane people will strip down to their bathing suits the morning of Nov. 18, and go running into the icy cold water of Lake George for the Polar Plunge.
It happens each year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Participants raise money for the event, with proceeds going to Special Olympics New York.
The event goes on, snow, or shine.
This year, it takes place on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 9 a.m.
You can sign-up by clicking here, or just showing up to Shepard Park on Nov. 18.
