Foundation makes first donations in honor of New Scotland murder victim Philip Rabadi
The foundation “Phil With Love,” created in honor of Philip Rabadi, is making its first major donations.
The donation of $32,500 will go to seven charitable organizations and two schools.
The foundation was created after Rabadi was tragically killed two years ago, murdered in his home in the town of New Scotland.
The man convicted of that crime is serving 25 years to life in prison.
NewsChannel 13’s Subrina Dhammi has learned the organizations receiving the money include Equinox, the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, Guilderland High School, and a scholarship to Albany Medical College. Philip graduated from both of those schools.
The Rabadi family started the foundation to honor Philip’s legacy of helping others through his job as a physician assistant, and through his giving and loving nature.
The foundation is planning the second golf fundraiser scheduled for August 24 at Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park.
Registration for that fundraiser is open now.
