Pittsfield man indicted for allegedly having sex with girl, 11, from Schenectady

A Pittsfield man has been indicted for allegedly having sex with an 11-year-old girl from Schenectady.

Paul Newton-Ireland pleaded not guilty at his arraignment to charges of indecent assault and battery on a child, child enticement and distributing obscene matter to a minor, according to our media partners at The Berkshire Eagle.

Newtown-Ireland told police that he brought the girl to his home from Schenectady and told police he believed the girl was 18 years old.
