Pittsfield Police are investigating an armed robbery Wednesday at the NBT Bank.

Officers responded to the bank at 609 Merrill Road at about 5 p.m. for a report of a suspect entering the bank, displaying a firearm and demanding cash. He left in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money.

No injuries were reported.
