A Berkshire County teacher has been honored by the state for her contributions to environmental education.
Kelly Ziemba teaches biology and environmental science at Pittsfield High School. She is just one of five teachers recognized this year as a Mass Audobon Conservation Teacher of the Year.
Ziemba helps organize Pittsfield High’s compost program and has led a number of environmental field trips.
